Rep. Christopher Cox, (R) of the Cal 48th Congressional has been nominated to head the SEC commission. His passage by the Senate is a lock. And I mean LOCK. (Want to know the truth? He's actually qualified.)
But this means an Open Seat Special Election in Orange County. The registration numbers in the District are overwhelmingly Republican yet most of the population could easily be described as 'socially moderate'.
